Colin Liew

Mr. Liew is a Director and Head of International Litigation at a specialist disputes law practice in Singapore.
He is an experienced disputes practitioner, I regularly appear before the Supreme Court and arbitral tribunals, where I have represented clients in complex cross-border disputes across areas including commercial fraud, post-M&A disputes, international trade and commodities, investor-State claims as well as crypto and Web3 disputes.
As the author of “Legal Professional Privilege” (Academy Publishing, 2nd Ed), I am the foremost authority on legal professional privilege in Singapore. My work is frequently cited before the Singapore courts and arbitral tribunals whenever privilege disputes arise, and I regularly advise or provide training on privilege and related issues (e.g. fraud or investigations).
I also take appointments as arbitrator with most major international arbitral institutions (DIAC, HKIAC, ICC, KCAB, LICA, SIAC, SHIAC). I regularly contribute to law reform efforts of Singapore’s International Arbitration Act 1994 and I have published regularly on various areas of the law.
I graduated at the top of my year from the University of Oxford, and I am dual-qualified in Singapore and England and Wales.
