About Ambassador

Valeriya Tsekhanska is a triple-qualified international disputes lawyer admitted to practice in New York, England & Wales, and Ukraine.

She has experience representing companies, investors and States in complex cross-border commercial and investment disputes, including international arbitration and litigation.

Ms. Tsekhanska has developed her international disputes practice through experience with leading global and European law firms in London, DC and Paris, working on sophisticated cross-border arbitration and litigation matters. She has also served at the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations and worked as a research assistant at Columbia Law School.

Valeriya holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School and a Master’s degree in Global Business Law and Governance from Sciences Po Paris. Her academic experience also includes studies at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Columbia Law School. While at Harvard, she served as President of the Harvard International Arbitration Law Students Association.

Valeriya is also AMF-certified, complementing her disputes experience with a strong understanding of financial markets and the commercial issues underlying complex investment and corporate disputes.

She is fluent in English, Ukrainian and Russian and has professional proficiency in French.
